Guarding the ricefields

I live in Montemor-the-New. Despite being settled since prehistoric times apparently its not old compared to Montemor-the-Old (where the modern town was established in the 11th century). But since their 14th century castle is still imposing and ours is in ruins I'll keep my mouth shut. Plus the local convent pastries are sensational.
